Ladies and gentlemen of the primal fitness community, this blog post is dedicated to you! Welcome to yet another primalburgher.com blog post featuring some awesome feats of strength and awesome nutritional info! If there is one thing I am getting good at (especially given the lessons I learned in my previous post), it’s fueling my workouts. Today, I want to talk about an interesting beverage called SueroViv, and why die-hard athletes (crossfitters and kettlebell enthusiasts alike) will find this to be incredibly useful.
I had am amazing opportunity to support a local charity to fight Child Onset Diabetes this weekend. The awesome trainers at FitFx in Harmarville PA held their first every “Pound A-Thon” to help “Pound Down” juvenile Diabetes. In short, by pledging a dollar amount of money, you got to challenge yourself by participating in certain fitness events. The events were circuit style and ranged from traditional weight lifting, body weight exercises, and of course, something very much like crossfit. I have yet to attend a crossfit gym, so this event got me so curious that I HAD TO SIGN UP! I’d like to show you all how my epic Death Match began last Saturday. Below is my first ever attempt at tire flipping (note: because this is my first tire flipping expierence, my form probably isn’t the best. I’m no expert on this. Send your comments and criticism my way! I mean it! I want to learn how to do this right!). Enjoy!
After tire flips, this death match WAS NOT OVER! After that, the fitness challenge moved to tire jumps (box jumps onto a tire), sledge hammer hits, burpees, kettlebell swings, and to finish it all, planks until you drop. My results?
33 Tire flips with a 150 pound tire.
48 tire jumps
45 sledge-hammer hits.
54 burpees.
90 kettlebell swings with a 30lb kettlebell.
2 minute and 30 second plank
After this INSANE circuit, I headed to the locker room to pick up my much-needed SueroViv and spent some time explaining what that SueroViv is another trainer at FitFx.Check this out!
SueroViv is a unique beverage containing essential oils, probiotics, and an abundance of B vitamins and electrolytes. Each 8 ounce service is 60 calories and has a sugar content of 14 grams per serving (which is coming from organic honey used to sweeten the beverage). Now, if you are a hardcore paleo enthusiast, you may be wondering about the cultured whey in SueroViv (and yes, there is cultured whey in this guy). The cultured whey is derived form greenfed cattle from the Beyond Organic ranch. You can be assured that this golden liquid comes from the highest source available. Also, it is the whey itself that contains an abundance of probiotics and essential electrolytes you’re going to need to not only keep your gut healthy, but also fuel your tremendous work loads. Might I add, the cultures in the whey seem to inhibit any stomach upset you might hae from typical dairy beverages. I hae had no reported issues iwth SueroViv or any other Beyond Organic dairy products to date (and I’m lactose intolerant). Speaking from personal experience, I can attest that this drink has kept me alive doing demanding training (especially with the circuit listed above) and it will do much the same for you. Please feel free to email me at janelle@primalburgher.com with any questions you may have about SueroViv. I am a Beyond Organic Health Coach and can assist you with any questions you may have about SueroViv or beyond organic in general (side note: Beyond Organic has AWESOME GREEN FED FOOD available for FREE SHIPPING right to your door! Check out this link for more details!). Also, should you get as hooked as I am to SueroViv and plan on distributing this at your local gym, consider becoming a part of my Beyond Organic team. Check out this video and again, email me with any questions you may have. I’d love to help you in any way possible!
I’d like to close this blog post with a special shout out to my friend, fitness trainer, and fellow Mission Marketer Sarah Hoffman. Sarah Was responsible for inviting me to FitFx on Saturday. She brought along her daughter, the incredible Ivy Hoffman, who at the ripe age of 20 months old, is able to perform some hardcore kettebell exercises. Check out this video below!
You truly are never too young to start kettlebell training. ROCK ON IVY HOFFMAN! That sums it up for me today! As always, remember to eat smart, train hard, and enjoy your life!
Love Always,
Janelle
