I have been receiving a lot of emails, text messages, and phone calls lately about starting out with an appropriate sized kettlebell. Withe the multitude of kettlebells available for all us fitness enthusiasts to use, I can understand how overwhelming it may be for a beginner to start out with an appropriate sized weight. I have received enough questions this week that has spurred some creative activity on my end to put together a comprehensive breakdown of where to begin with kettlebell training and how to progress into more ballistic drills.
But first, lets begin with answering the “which kettlebell to I really start with?” question.
In my professional opinion, I believe that Dragon Door supplies the best kettlebells. These weights are coated with a rust-resistant e-coating so you never have to worry about a nasty looking rust developing on them. I often tell people that these kettlebells will last a lifetime and you would literally have to drop a nuclear bomb on them in order for them to break! I say that only because I have noticed some inferior types of kettlebells being marketed lately that a) rust and b) bust. Really, who wants to continue to buy the same weight over and over again? Just saying.
Be sure to get your kettlebells here today and be on the look out next week for progressive exercises that will lay the foundation for the beginning of your hardstyle kettlebell training ;).
That’s all I have for yinz today! Remember to eat smart, train hard, and enjoy your life!
Love Always,
