Happy Friday Everyone! If you have been following along with the blog this week, we have been picking apart the turkish get up to make sure we understand how to maximize our power output properly. On Monday we practiced the get up with nothing but our own body weight. On Wednesday we practice the get up with one of our shoes. Today, it is time to add some weight to the turkish get up. This is the grand finale folks! If you are ready to take things to the next level, follow along with my video below for some tips and tricks when it comes to mastering this lift.
I cannot stress this enough, if you are lifting a heavy kettlebell for a turkish get up, ESPECIALLY if you are going for a personal record, make sure someone is spotting you along the way. Always remember to carry the kettlebell around your head on the ground to switch positions and NEVER bring the kettlebell across your chest. Safety first people!
