I am gearing up for another few weeks of travel here. First stop, Mansfield Ohio for a Strongfirst Seminar. Soon after that, I am off to Asheville North Carolina for one of the most (if not THE MOST) important business meetings of my life. When I gear up for all my epic road trips, I bring kettlebells with me to stay on my training game. This month my main focus in training is to maintain as much power as I possibly can while working some faster runs into my life. I have Battle Frog and the Pittsburgh Spartan Sprint to work towards, and I have constructed a way to train for these events using kettlebells (for more information on these monthly programs, click this link).
Throw two kettlebells of equal weight in your car and PRESTO! You have your on the go training. One of my favorite go-to on the go workouts is a double clean, press, and squat ladder. You only need a solid 15 minutes on this bad boy to feel some serious work.
Try it out!
Set your timer for 15 minutes and complete the following complex
5 Double Cleans
5 Double Presses
5 Double Squats
Do as many rounds of the above complex as you can in 15 minutes. DONE!
You may have seen over the weekend that I brought some kettlebells with me to train with in downtown Pittsburgh. The other thing I absolutely LOVE about the kettlebell itself is that it is portable, and you can literally train with any one of your friends on the spot no matter where you go. Even if your friend is. .. A FURRY
