“Self Love” seems to be one of the most popular buzz term out there these days. The rise and popularity of the Body Positive movement has most certainly laid the foundation for a much better framework for loving yourself, inside and out, just the way you are. I dig it. I resonate with that notion quite well. More so, I have come to believe that dropping the weight of our own insecurities about our strengths, weaknesses, eating habits, body image (you name it really) is what makes us resilient.
“I cannot wait to start training with you again in the new year. I feel so misguided without your coaching.” a former client says to me. This man has been working with me for over a year now, on and off, to not just increase his strength but to gain his own kettlebell certification. Plagued by the insecurities his life was surrounded with due to a struggle with addiction, he decided to pick up the phone and make a few phone calls. Phone call number 1) set up a support system to end the vicious cycle of addiction. Phone call number 2) set up support through physical strength training as well as nutritional guidance under my wing to increase his personal sense of empowerment. This man is resilient in the upmost sense to me. By embracing his insecurities, he thereby made a plan to change his life for the better (I should also note this man is going for the Beast Tamer Challenge so do be sure you root him on when the time comes! I’ll let you all know accordingly!)
“Coaching with you over the past year has been a HUGE game changer. It was the best decision I ever made. I made a complete 180 in my emotional state, training habits, and even how well I ate. I cannot wait for this upcoming year!” a current client says to me. This woman has been working with me remotely for one and a half years now. At first, she sought my attention for mindset training as I had posted publicly a 30 day challenge on facebook to hold my own self accountable to thinking positively. Catching my posts intermittently, I received a private facebook message to start a similar sort of challenge with her. Within just 1 month, this woman’s self confidence boosted to such a degree that she found herself training better, sleeping better, eating better, the whole nine yards so-to-speak. Each month since, we have come up with strategic plans for self development and other training needs to keep her feeling confident and utterly resilient. Recognizing the emotional rut she was trapped in from “Falling off the wagon too many times”, she answered her call to action and began to develop her character, inside and out.
What insecurities are you trouble by right now? Do you feel inadequate with your current strength level? Do you feel worthy enough of a healthy body and lifestyle? Have previous attempts and failures in your fitness routines lead to more insecurities? Most importantly, can you willingly admit that you need help?
Consider the alternative to the current state of your circumstances. How much better would your life become when you not only recognize your insecurities, but commit to actively changing your life for the better? Imagine how strong you will be. Imagine how healthy you will be. Imagine the incredible boost to your confidence. Imagine yourself. . .resilient.
The only way we can overcome our feelings of insecurity is to start taking action to move us forward towards our own success. Drop the weight. Pick up another. Train yourself for resilience. Tomorrow I will be sharing with you all just how you can work alongside myself and the rest of our VIP community to work towards your own levels of resilience . I am excited to start up this brand new coaching platform for the new year. Even more, I am excited to have you all on for the ride. Watch for the emails and blogs tomorrow. 2017 truly is the year of resilience!
Let nothing stand in your way.
Press on!
