Over the weekend I found myself in an difficult conversation over a difficult subject with a friend. The past year and a half of my life was filled with what seemed like the non stop physical battle of climbing over one obstacle after another after another. The constant “Go! Go! Go!” of my life eventually started taking an emotional toll on me, and now having the time to take the time to heal from all of the chaos has been a blessing. I had explained the nature of my experiences with a trusted friend, and what that conversation brought to light was what “Strength” really means to me now. My friend articulated this so well!
“Even when you don’t feel strong, you will have the support of those that love you to lift you up. Having that strong support is what will eventually make you stronger. “
I am keeping this post simple and sweet just like the chocolate we are all going to eat today. It’s Valentine’s Day, and while I would love to share my tid bits on my love for kettlebell complexes, eating healthy, ad living a powerful life, I want to ask you all an important question regarding your love of strength in general. I‘ve spoke about this before in a previous post, but it’s ever more pertinent on a day like today.
Who is in your life that you absolutely cherish, and how do they make you stronger?
In light of this holiday, I want to encourage you all to get out there today and spend time with those that you love and care about. Call up your friends, Have dinner with your loved ones. You can even step outside of your comfort zone and do a random act of kindness for someone you may not know so well. Today, I want to encourage you all to not just lift some heavy weight, but to lift up the people you care about so much, be they friends, family, co-workers, anyone. Have those deep conversations, hug , share your experiences and enjoy the company of those that you love so much.
For having the loving support in our lives is what truly makes us stronger.
Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!
Press on!
