Happy Fourth of July everyone! I hope you all are enjoying your cook-outs, BBQ’s, and other festivities! My fourth of July started with a fun little circuit class up at Pittsburgh Kettlebells, and now I am back home with the family anxiously awaiting my massive grass fed steak. Mmm…. It better be done soon!
I wanted to take the time just to write up a quick blog post for you all on the topic of freedom. Today is a day we celebrate our freedom in America. We wave our flags, parade around in our patriotism, and stand together as on nation, the United States of America. Now, what does this have to do with our health? I’d like to share with you all a unique definition of the word freedom so you can see where I’m going with this post. Take a look below.
Freedom: the power to determine action without restraint.
We are truly fortunate that we live in a country where we have the freedom to choose our paths, and the freedom to make educated choices when it comes to bettering our health. If you have found this post and feel that you are too powerless, too weak to make positive changes in your health due to your circumstances, I am here to tell you that is a lie from the depths of hell! No on is stopping you from reaching your goals, be it weight loss, disease prevention, strength gains, ore whatever else. You can have the power, the freedom to be the strongest and healthiest person out there. Sometimes all it takes is a little motivation, a little hope, and just a single first step towards reaching your goals to get the ball rolling. You can make it, and believe me, you WILL!
Now, go out there an be the best version of yourself. If I can help you in anyway with that, please feel free to email me at redeemed626@gmail.com. Also, why don’t you celebrate your freedom with a toast to your health! Below is the recipe to my “Patriotic Smoothie”. Enjoy!
Pica’s Patriotic Smoothie
1/2 Cup Strawberries
1/2 Cup Blueberries
8 oz Plain Amasai
Place the above ingredients in a blender, add some ice and presto! You have you’re own red, white, and blue smoothie!
I hope you all have a great holiday and remember to always eat smart, train hard, and enjoy your life!
Love Always,
Janelle
