Merry Christmas Everyone! I just wanted to keep yinz up to date with some things that I have been working on over the past few weeks. First of all, I have entered into Phase 2 of the Ketlebell Burn program designed by Master RKC Geoff Neupert. I wrote in an earlier post that I was using this program to gear up for the RKC in 2013 in Vienna Virginia. So far, the results have been amazing in terms of my endurance and not to mention the dramatic increase in my overall strength (if you have been following me on facebook and twitter, you know exactly what I am talking about). I will be doing more in depth review of this phase of the program in the coming weeks.
Secondly, I have been studying my brains out for the NASM CPT exam. I recently retook my practice exam and scored a solid 96% on it. WOOT WOOT! I will be scheduling my final exam for this training program as well in the coming weeks. Since I have been doing a lot of working, training, and studying, and I have more work, training, and studying ahead to prepare me for yet another major life change (looks like I’ll be training all yinz in Pittsburgh sooner than expected), I am going to take some time off blogging this week to get geared up for the New Year. I have a lot of things in the works for you all so look out for some motivating blog posts, fun and effective workouts, and not to mention some primal foods for thought when 2013 rolls around. GET EXCITED!
Finally, I wanted to release my “12 days of Fitness” carol I had been working on over the Christmas Holiday for you all in this blog post. It’s a carol geared towards the functional fitness fanatic, as 12 days of fitness gear are listed in the song (hey, you have to find some way to channel holiday stress, right? Why not write a quirky parody of a song? 😉 )
