I’m 26 years old today. While that may not seem that old at all, those that know me the best know that it’s been a very long road for me. There were a ton of twists, a lot of turns, and times where I never thought I would make it to be this healthy, let alone be a certified kettlebell instructor. I am truly fortunate to live the life I am living each and every day, and I thank God for all the opportunities I have been granted in the past few weeks.
Which reminds me, I should probably mention a few things about said opportunities.
Truth be told, there were a lot of rough patches I had to walk through before and after my RKC certification. Without going into too much detail, there were some unfortunate set backs that took me a number of months to properly handle. The good news is this: I’m back in the fitness industry and will be available for private, semi private, and group training starting today. 🙂 I am launching a number of services within the next few weeks, so be sure to follow the blog to find out how you can learn how to eat smart, train hard, and enjoy your life with the help of yours truly.
Now, with all that said, it’s time to give yinz a taste of the style of workouts you can look forward too when you begin training with me. Today’s workout is my celebratory birthday workout. Grab 2 kettleblls and get ready to do six reps of each exercises twice through (trying to keep the theme of 26 rolling here! :-D). Have at it and leave some comments below when you complete the workout. I’d love to hear how you all managed it!
Burgher’s Birthday Blaster
You will perform two rounds of six repetitions of the following six exercise using double kettlebells. Choose your weights wisely. There are only two rounds, but this WILL knock the wind out of you!
six double swings
six double cleans and presses
six double front squats
six double clean and jerks
six double snatches
six renegade rows (ie: six rows per side)
rest as needed and repeat for one more round!
Who said two rounds wasn’t demanding? PHEW!
I would like to thank every single one of you for following my blog over the past year. Words cannot express how absolutely blessed I feel knowing so much has happened in such a short period of time. Please continue to follow this blog as I have more in store for this upcoming year. There will be more eating smart, more training hard, and more incredible tales of enjoying life in this great City of Pittsburgh! Thank you all again!
Love Always,
Janelle Pica, RKC
