Greetings fellow Burghers and random readers from the Internet. This is Janelle, also known as “The Primal Burgher”, and today I want to talk about why putting butter in your coffee is awesome.
Yes, BUTTER IN YOUR COFFEE!
I have a lot of friends in the fitness industry who rant and rave about the wonderful experience they have when putting grass fed butter int heir coffee. At first, I found this to be quite disgusting upon hearing about it, but you know how the saying goes: don’t knock it until you tried it.
I got super curious Tuesday morning and decided that I would muster up the courage and place the Kerrygold Grass Fed Butter I purchased the other day into my coffee instead of the normal creamer I use (truth be told, I was out of creamer and only had butter, so that was another reason I decided to go this route).
I ended up with something that looked like this.
Now, the normal gut reaction to putting butter in your coffee goes something to the effect of “You have completely lost your mind!”, but check this out! Putting grass fed butter in your coffee is GOOD FOR YOU! I repeat, putting grass fed butter in your coffee is GOOD FOR YOU!
Besides the added benefits of the antioxidants in coffee and the obvious stimulating effects of caffeine, you now add the wonderful properties of Conjugated Linoleic Acid. Why is that important? CLA has been known to have fat burning effects on top of anti-inflammatory effects as well. Not to mention the consumption of CLA leads to superior heart health. Want more on grass fed butter? Now, I realize that this may come down to getting over the initial “ick factor” of putting butter in your coffee. But trust me everyone, this brew is amazing! you really do need to try it for yourself. You will end up with the richest and boldest tasting coffee imaginable, and if you’re a coffee drinker like me, this is heaven in a cup. I am a true convert here and will NEVER go back to creamer. Seriously, it’s that good. Real talk!

And hey, put butter in your coffee, ya heard?
