Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all are gearing up for some fun this weekend. Before you head out for a night on the town this weekend, be sure to set aside some time for some exercise fun to kick off your weekend with a fitness bang! I have been playing around with a lot of double kettlebell work lately, so I wanted to shoot off this workout for you all to challenge yourself and to push for a new found level of strength and conditioning.
Today’s workout involves a short, quick, and dirty routine (this will leave you huffing and puffing without question) that involves swings, cleans and presses, squats, and renegade rows. Try out the double trouble kettlebell routine I created. You should be able to complete this routine in under 10 minutes, and I know yinz all have 10 minutes to spare before you head out for your weekend festivities 😉
Burgher’s Double Trouble Kettlebell Workout
You will need 2 snatch test sized kettlebells for this routine. For me, that is two 14kg kettlebells. If you need help determining your snatch test size kettlebell, please visit this link for a comprehensive breakdown of which weights to use.
You will complete 3 rounds of the following ladder.
2 double swings, 2 double clean and press, 2 double front squat, 2 renegade rows per side (alternating arms per rep)
4 double swings, 4 double clean and presses, 4 double front squats, 4 renegade rows per side (alternating arms per rep)
6 double swings, 6 double clean and presses, 6 double front squats, 6 renegade rows per arm (alternating arms per rep)
Rest as needed. You should be able to finish this routine in under 10 minutes. Have fun, push yourself, and always be mindful of your form. Let me know how you all do with this routine too! The volume adds up quick, believe me 🙂
Have a great weekend everyone! Remember to eat smart, train hard, and enjoy your life!
