Lindsey has put together a truly amazing book called “Food Guilt No More”. Now, this isn’t a book about eating whatever you want whenever you want to, BUT this IS a book that breaks down what I call “food anxiety”. Allow me to explain. A few months ago I personally decided to invest in Precision Nutrition in order to learn a more well-rounded approach to how I was eating. I eat fairly healthy, but being in the fitness world that I am in can lead one to be a bit obsessive about eating healthy. My breaking point was the day I went to Square Cafe in Regent Square, ate a three egg omelet, and had a complex about eating the dish because it was 100% perfectly fit to my meal plan at the time. That day I said “enough was enough” and decided to end that sort of guilt once and for all. This book, “Food Guilt No More” is a book about eating healthy as a way to love yourself through food and ending the anxiety about what is/ is not healthy in general.
Perhaps the biggest takeaway I had after reviewing this new book is Lindsey’s incredible ability to break down healthy eating through affirmations. That may sound strange, but this book isn’t all about recipes. Food Guilt No more has positive affirmations for each and every recipe in the book to keep you on track not just towards eating healthy, but loving yourself as you eat healthy! That’s a serious strike of genius if you ask me and something we can all benefit from when it comes to eating smart and loving ourselves. If you’re ready to learn how to eat well and how to stay positive as you learn how to eat so well, then this book is definitely for you!
