Memorial Day Backyard Bodyweight Workout!

Happy Friday everyone!

 

With the Holiday weekend fast approaching, I wanted to give you all the opportunity to do some body weight training on the day of your big beefy BBQ. Trust me, I am gearing up for my own cook-out with family and friends but my training is still going to be on par even the day of the holiday. Now, I have a ton of kettlebells at my disposal but most of you will be out with your family on the holiday. No problem! I’m also a body weight coach afterall ๐Ÿ˜‰ With that in mind, what’s the best way to work up and appetite and make room for all that extra food using calisthenic exercises?

Enter ye the Backyard Bodyweight workout! This is great if you don’t have a pair of kettlebells on hand but want to work up the right for some serious chow. Do this right before your backyard BBQ ๐Ÿ˜‰

The Backyard Bodyweight Blast!

Set your timer for 20 minutes and perform as many rounds of the following exercise sets

20 Body Weight Squats

15 Mountain Climbers

10 Push ups

5 body weight lunges per leg (total of 10)

1, 50 yard sprint (maximal effort)

 

Simple, safe, effective and perfect when you are out and about with little to no equipment on hand. Keep moving as quickly as you can through each exercise set but make sure you use proper form. And remember. . .HAVE FUN!
