It’s been a while since I last blogged, but most of that is due to some new changes that have hit my personal life. These changes are nothing shy of amazing, so fear not readers! All is well! However, I did want to make some announcements of a few things that are on the up and up in the world of The Primal Burgher.
First of all, I am moving from the South Side to the East End of Pittsburgh. I have lived in the South Side for nearly 3 years, and while some of the times I spent in this end of the city were fun, it’s time to move on to a neighborhood that fits my lifestyle a bit more. The South Side and I have always butted heads, and I was butting heads with the neighborhood more and more once I dived more into my fitness career. The South Side is the city hub for some wild night life, but if that’s not your thing, it’s better to move on. I have made a point though to regularly bike my Burgher Butt from the East End to South Side as my favorite hang out, The OTB Cafe, is located in this neighborhood. If you ever visit Pittsburgh, check this place out!
Second (and this may upset some of you), I am moving over to a new website, called “Primal Fitness Pittsburgh” under the domain primalfitnesspittsburgh.com. This blog will soon be no more. Again, FEAR NOT! I will still be operating a The Primal Burgher blog under the new site, but it is time to move on to something slightly more than just a blog. After receiving a bunch of feed back from current clients and other professionals, I decided to shift things into a new format to represent my actual business. Who would have thought that this tiny Burgher would have ever started up a fitness business? For those of you who know me personally, you know how big of a deal that is to me. It’s been a wild ride into this new life, and I am thankful for everything that has happened over the years here in the City.
Finally, I just wanted to wrap up with a few final thoughts. Recently, I took a photo at one of my favorite places in South Side. Other than the OTB Cafe, my favorite place to hang in the South Side is the South Side Riverfront Park. I normally bike down from my apartment to just sit by the river and relax. On this particular occasion, I snapped a picture of the Birmingham Bridge. The Bridge connects the South Side to downtown and the East End, and it really reminded me of all the changes that are taking place in my life. I have no complaints, only praises! I have no fears of what lies ahead, just an incredible amount of excitement to get across the Bridge! Though my curiosity for what life will be like on the other side of this city is at an all time high, I’m ready to book down and get started! That’s the thing about moving on to new horizons in life. Sometimes you just have to cross a Bridge to find out what life holds on the other side 🙂
I want to thank my family, friends, and all my readers for the encouragement over the years. I never would have dreamed I would have made it this far to the RKC, let alone starting up my own fitness business. It just goes to show you that if you believe you can achieve something, you can achieve it and WILL achieve it. Dream big everyone! I’ll leave you a ll with a song to bind the time in between all this moving. The song is call “New Horizons”, and I can’t think of a better song to highlight all the awesome to come!
Eat Smart! Train Hard! Enjoy Your Life!
Love Always,
Janelle Pica, RKC
