First off, I just want to wish a super strong happy birthday to my friend Lisa, who turned 27 this week! Over the weekend, we got together to celebrate her birthday and headed for some eats at the East End hot spot, Soba. At first I was a little nervous about checking out the restaurant as I generally don’t like being that paleo person who orders a main course minus everything else that comes with it :). I was delightfully surprised by the paleo options at this fabulous restaurant. In fact, I was so happy with it I decided to dedicate an entire blog post to it!
Located on Ellsworth Avenue in the East End of Pittsburgh, Soba is a pan asian
restaurant that is guaranteed to add flare to your paleo night life. If you’re gluten free, FEAR NOT! Soba goes far above and beyond the typical rice and noodle dishes and offers everything from sweet chili thai wraps and a delectable miso black cod. Soba even has an asian twist on Filet Mignon, which makes the meat-lover me VERY HAPPY! 😀
My personal choice was the tandoori grilled salmon. Paired with fennel, sprouted lentils, green beans, and an out-of-this-world coriander and orange yogurt sauce, I was in paleo heaven! Just take a look at the picture here and try not to drool! 😉
If you’re traveling to Pittsburgh (and by now you ALL should be looking at visiting this city. Just saying!) Soba is a foodie stop that you simply must schedule in your planner. And if you are coming to Pittsburgh, let me know and I will gladly some back to Soba for more eating 😉 Check out their website and view Soba’s menu here!
That’s all I have for you today folks! Remember to eat smart, train hard, and enjoy your life!
Love Always,
